A couple of weeks ago, we talked about the new legislation being introduced 1 July affecting end of life electrical equipment. Many of our competitors have been charging extra way ahead of this month and even more have now introduced an extra charge.

At Coinadrink we have always disposed of old equipment in a responsible way and as such we will not be making any extra charges - its business as usual !!

If you are not with us - just worth double checking your next invoice to make sure your supplier has not put on any extra charges.

The environment is a huge concern and at Coinadrink we take our responsibilities very seriously. We have a strong re use and recycling culture and we are proud to have achieved the environmental accreditation ISO14001. We plan carefully for any legislation such the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive that comes into effect in July. This will affect how we treat end of life vending machines, we have been planning for this for some time and have been working closely with our suppliers.

As the environmental debate continues some companies have taken advantage of forthcoming legislation by charging an environmental levy way ahead of the date it becomes effective. The latest regulations cover the disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) doesn't come in until July and we won't make any charges until then.
