Facebook turns to Vending Machines to cut down cost

Facebook are yet again showing that they are smart in coming up with simple solutions to make life easier.

They made their staff identity badges even more functional. Not only can these personal cards be scanned to get a drink or snack but now they can be used to get stationary items out of the vending machine. Plugs, cables, batteries, pens and even keyboards are available at the swipe of a card. The machine also automatically monitors what’s been dispensed to whom.

Across New York, high tech and eco friendly vending machines that only vend healthy foods and drinks are being targeted at schools, community centres, hospitals and corporate buildings.

In addition to providing healthy food options, the machines provide health education via high-definition LCD screens that display streaming videos and other content. It seems another good initiative to fight obesity. Check out our range of healthy snacks.
